»ÆÉ«ÊÓƵ Infant/Toddler program offers an enriching environment and high-quality services to families and their infants and toddlers. The program provides comprehensive services and learning experiences that support infant and toddler physical (nutrition and mental health wellness) educational, social-emotional development. Services include early identification of needs, culturally relevant curriculum and assessments, strengthening parent engagement and knowledge in the area of child development and critical milestones.

Overview

Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS)

The California Department of Education (CDE) adopted the in 2013 and released the draft instructional framework for Science Education.

To prepare for the implementation of the new standards, the district collaborated with SCTA in the spring of 2015 to form a committee and develop a comprehensive three-year NGSS implementation plan.

Medical Exemptions

Under State law SB 277, effective January 1, 2016 parents may no longer cite personal beliefs to exempt their children from vaccines required for school. Most families will not be affected by the new law because their children have received all required vaccinations.

Personal beliefs exemptions on file for a child already attending child care will NO LONGER BE VALID when enrolling into kindergarten, including transitional kindergarten (Early Kinder).
