Health Services Update – Covid Protocols and PCR testing ending

PCR Testing Ending Feb 28, 2023
California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is changing to a fully antigen-based testing strategy across the state to support early medication access. PCR/molecular testing will no longer be available through our district after February 28, 2023. Rapid antigen testing and OTC distributions will continue. As a state, the guidance is to use OTCs as you would Tylenol in your medicine cabinet – have a stock handy and use if/when needed. In addition to our monthly OTC distribution, all symptomatic students/staff should be sent

Implementing the »ÆÉ«ÊÓƵ School Wellness Policy

With the return to in-person learning through the COVID pandemic, we have all learned the importance of addressing health and safety – including healthy eating and healthy activity. »ÆÉ«ÊÓƵ passed the Wellness Board Policy 5030, which is an important tool for promoting student wellness, preventing and reducing childhood obesity, and assuring that school meal nutrition guidelines meet the minimum federal school meals standards.

Free Expository Reading and Writing Curriculum (ERWC) Training – March & April 2023
Middle, K-8, High School
The ERWC is aligned with the California Content Standards and emphasizes the in-depth study of expository, analytical and argumentative reading and writing.
Teachers who attend the workshop will receive materials, access to the ERWC online community where all 9th-12th modules are housed, and an opportunity to calibrate with peers regarding school-level expectations with college-level expectations.
