Central Kitchen Flag Raising Ceremony

The Central Kitchen’s mission is to provide healthy, sustainable, fresh, and local food to all schoolchildren within the district. With a state of the art kitchen, the 50,00-square-foot Central Kitchen will serve over 30,000 meals per day at full capacity, spanning students across K-12 grades. The estimated completion date is December 2020.

Sacramento City Unified hosting a virtual press conference to announce their efforts during the COVID-19 crisis and beyond to continue providing students with information about college options. The district welcomes speakers from California State University Sacramento, UC Davis, and Sacramento City College.

For this general meeting, space is limited to 300  people.  This meeting will be recorded.  Translation services are available with 48 hours notice.

Press Conference to Announce Opening of Learning Hubs
@ Sam Brannan Middle School

Sacramento City Unified School District Superintendent Jorge Aguilar and Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg held a press conference today Friday, October 9 at 11:30 am to announce the opening of six learning hub sites across the district. Learning hubs are sites on school campuses that provide small groups of students with distance learning assistance and other activities.
