Sacramento City Unified Provides Update on Incident Involving Graffiti Found at C.K. McClatchy

Sacramento, CA - Last Friday, the Sacramento City Unified School District initiated an investigation following the discovery of disturbing graffiti at C.K. McClatchy High School.

As a result of that site level investigation and in consultation with Sac PD, the person responsible for the graffiti has been identified. The individual in question is a minor student, and appropriate disciplinary action is being taken by the district.

Statement from Sacramento City Unified School District Superintendent and Board President Following Discovery of Racist Graffiti at Abraham Lincoln Elementary School

Sacramento, CA - Following a Monday school holiday in observance of Abraham Lincoln’s birthday, racist graffiti was discovered this morning on an exterior wall at Abraham Lincoln Elementary school. The graffiti was painted over as soon as it was discovered and support services are being provided for students and staff who were traumatized by this racist incident.

“I am both angry and heartsick that racist graffiti was discovered on the C. K. McClatchy campus today. We take this incident very seriously. Racism and racist language will not be tolerated in our schools.
