You may have already learned that the Sacramento City Teachers Association (SCTA) and SEIU Local 1021 announced a planned strike to begin on Wednesday, March 23, 2022. We will keep you informed as we attempt to reach an agreement with our labor partners to avert a strike.

Sacramento, CA â€“ The Sacramento City Unified School District School Board today issued the following statement:

“We are united in service to our students of this district, and are committed to keeping our students in school. We are doing our best to serve honorably and make decisions that are in the interests of all our children and families, and do right by our staff as well. 

Sacramento, CA â€“ The following letter was sent from Sacramento City Unified School District to District families about a new information resource on the status of negotiations with the Sacramento City Teachers Association (SCTA) and Service Employees International Union 1021 (SEIU).

Sacramento, CA - Two individuals responsible for vandalizing Lincoln Elementary School with disturbing racist graffiti have been identified. The individuals are minor students in the Sacramento City Unified School District. As such, appropriate disciplinary action is being taken by the district.
