School Site Council

California Education Code 52852 requires that a school site council shall be established at each school that participates in Title I or LCFF supplemental/concentration grant funding.   The school site council shall be composed of the principal and representatives of: teachers selected by teachers at the school; other school personnel selected by other school personnel at the school; parents of pupils attending the school selected by the parents; and, in secondary schools, pupils selected by pupils attending the school.

Tort Claim Form
If the occurrence happened on January 1, 1988, or after this date, then a claim for bodily injury or death, damage to personal property, or damage to growing crops must be filed not later than six months after the occurrence out of which the claim arose. All other claims must be filed not later than one year after the occurrence. (Refer to California Government Code Section 911.2)

Overview

Section 113 of the Education Omnibus Trailer Bill (Senate Bill 98) for the 2020-21 California State Budget appropriated $80 million to establish the Early Literacy Support Block (ELSB) Grant Program. The ELSB Grant Program required the California Department of Education (CDE) to award funds to local educational agencies (LEAs) with the 75 schools that had the highest percentage of students in grade three scoring at the lowest achievement standard level on the State Summative English Language Arts (ELA) assessment.
