Extreme Heat Forecasted this Week

As you are likely aware, according to the National Weather Service, temperatures over 100 degrees are expected Tuesday through Thursday this week in the afternoon and evening.

Please make sure you and your child(ren) stay well hydrated and use caution when exercising or spending time outdoors in the afternoon.

At Sac City Unified, we remember the important contributions and achievements of African Americans throughout our history. 

In 1894, Sarah Mildred Jones was the first African American woman in Sacramento to become principal of a fully integrated elementary school, Fremont Primary School (at 24th and N Street).

Facts About 鈥淪tate Takeover鈥 Of Our Schools

As has been widely reported, Sacramento City Unified Schools are projected to run out of cash. Unless significant spending cuts are made to balance the budget and meet state required reserve levels, the district will be taken over. Board Update: LCAP Parent Advisory Committee Appointments Announced
First Meeting September 24 at 5:30 p.m.

Board members and Superintendent Aguilar appointed 16 members to the LCAP Parent Advisory Committee on September 20, 2018. The initial meeting is Monday, September 24, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. at the Serna Center Washington Room. Meetings are open to the public. Below are the names of the newly appointed members of the LCAP PAC:
