LAST WEEK OF ATTENDANCE AWARENESS MONTH REMINDERS….We are in the last week of Attendance Awareness Month, Push even harder these last few days to STRIVE FOR 95%!  District Wide we are at 94.5%!!  With a few days left let’s keep our students in class, making up for all of the missed learning opportunities over the last 3 years.

If you are already feeling overwhelmed, defeated, like its been 4 months, not 4 weeks… then COME get Re-energized with the Office of attendance & engagement at AIM, this Friday at 9:30 am in the SERNA Community Rooms

EVERYONE is welcome: There will be delicious breakfast bites, caffeine and fun! ALL staff, Principals, Attendance Staff, Social Workers, Serna staff, Leaders from all buildings, support staff from all sites, facilities, transportation….Everyone is invited to the 1^st AIM (Attendance Improvement Movement) Meeting of the year featuring Motivational Entertainer: Kevin Bracy of Reach One Alliance.  Join your colleagues from across the District as we wrap up Attendance Awareness Month with Kevin’s simple, yet passionate positive message: Show Up. Work Hard. Be Kind! You’ll leave with new ideas on how to reach students and feeling ready to tackle chronic absenteeism again!

Then Saturday September 30^th We wrap-up the last day of AAM with a Huge AAM Community Fair brought to you by the care and Baker Elementary Teams RIGHT HERE at the Enrollment Center/Accelerated Academy Campus.  There will be Free Food Boxes from Sac Food Bank, Free meals from Chandos and Drewskis, Free Kona Ice, Free back packs and school supplies, care swag, an obstacle course, Free phones/tablets by TruConnect, resources from our community based organizations, In –person mural painting for Mexican Heritage Month by local Artist Larry Ramos and performances by The CKM Dance Team, hip hop artist M’ster Lewis and once again get motivated with featured Local Celebrity: Kevin Bracy plus so much more.  Right here on the beautiful EC Campus next to Serna Saturday September 30, 2023 from 10 am -1 pm.  The weather will be beautiful, so come be one with your »ÆÉ«ÊÓƵ community.
