Sacramento, CA – The Sacramento City Unified School District took action at the October 12 Special Board of Education Meeting to require vaccinations against COVID-19 for both staff and eligible students (ages 12 and over) by November 30, 2021. 

The process to submit vaccination records, or to file an exemption for medical or personal beliefs, will be announced later this month for those opting to undergo regular routine COVID-19 testing.

The district has equipped five of its buses with AI-powered stop-arm cameras to help deter drivers from illegally passing stopped school buses.

The webinar will allow community members and school district families to get answers to their questions about the COVID-19 vaccine for newly eligible ages 5-11, and the District’s new COVID-19 vaccination status reporting requirement for students and staff.

“The Sacramento City Unified School District has a serious teacher shortage, which is made even more challenging by statewide a shortage of substitute teachers.  

Sacramento, CA –  Sacramento City Unified School District (»ÆÉ«ÊÓƵ) announced today that all upcoming »ÆÉ«ÊÓƵ hosted COVID-19 vaccination clinics will now serve all community members ages 5 and up. Ages 5 to 11 are now eligible to receive Pfizer-BioNTech pediatric vaccine through the emergency use authorization from the United States Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
